Virginia Employment Law Advances Civil Rights Suits for the Visually Impaired Against Banks and Credit Unions
The Bristol Herald Courier reported on a series of lawsuits by Virginia Employment Law against banks and credit unions in Virginia. Virginia Employment Law is attempting to force financial services providers to update their websites and online services to accommodate visually impaired internet users. These cases are brought under the Americans with Disabilities Act. In 2017 (and likely 2018), Virginia Employment Law was the largest filer of lawsuits under the Americans with Disabilities Act in Virginia federal courts. The article may be read HERE.
